About Me

My name is Tracey and I am a teacher, writer, daughter, sister, wife and a mother to four young daughters. I’m sure I am lots of other things too but those are all I can think of for now (probably the most important ones). Since the birth of my children, aged 10, 7 and 4 year old twins, I have worked from home – something which has proved extremely difficult at times. Parenthood really does take over your life. It can be so hard to separate yourself, in any form, from your primary role as being mum. I suffered a huge case of identity loss after having my children because I gave myself over entirely to them, to the point where I had completely forgotten who I used to be. I had, in effect, disappeared. Which is why I decided to start The Desperate Housewife, both for me and every other parent out there who has lost themselves to parenthood. This is a place to read and share and realise that you are not on your own. Every parent out there is feeling exactly the same way as you – trust me.

So please stay if you can, have a read of a few articles and feel free to share in the complete and utter chaos that is adulthood, matrimony and parenting. Have you figured any of it out yet??
